ARTICLE 16 - LOWER MAINLAND BREWERY WORKERS HOLDING SOCIETY

Section 1 - Membership

Each member of the Union, as a condition of membership, shall become a member of the Lower Mainland Brewery Workers Holding Society.

Section 2 - Dues

The General Executive Board may designate that not more than twelve ($12.00) dollars of the initiation fees of a new member be paid to the Lower Mainland Brewery Workers Holding Society for the sole benefit and use of the Society.

Section 3 - Donations

The General Executive Board may loan on any terms that in its sole discretion it considers appropriate, or may donate any amount of the Union's surplus funds to the Lower Mainland Brewery Workers Holding Society. No donation shall be made unless the majority of the membership voting at a Regional Meeting has approved the donation and the amount of the donation.

Section 4 - Loans

The Union may borrow money from the Lower Mainland Brewery Workers Holding Society. The terms of such a loan shall be negotiated by the General Executive Board. The terms of the Loan shall be approved by a majority of the members voting at a Regional Meeting before the loan is executed.
